Dovetail does The Ritz
We began as a response to ‘Further a Fiver’ in 2007, a one-off event we thought, just a group of people who sometimes sang together and some willing caterers. But we seem to have become a bit of a Church institution, and have also performed at Romsey Methodist’s Tea and other local fundraising events. So the fiver has been well furthered.
We'll be back in the Dovetail on Saturday 20th November with the catering provided by the wonderful Social Events Committee and their army of happy helpers. As last year, the profits will be divided between our church funds and a charity, this time at the Neurological Department of Southampton General Hospital.
We performers never intended to become an exclusive group as we may seem now, and our audience would be glad to see some new faces. We're also considering including an interlude of a more classical nature with instrumentalists, amid all those lovely old songs.
