This months book is Mother without a Mask, by Patricia Holden. We will meet at 8.00pm at Flat 12 Oakleaf Place, 33 Hursley Road (opp. Community Centre)
The author became an intimate friend of a United Arab Emirates family, before the oil-boom, and saw the transition from living in tents to building skyscrapers, from riding camels to driving Mercedes. Herself a Christian, she is deeply sensitive to the Islamic culture, especially to the lives of the women.
